The Italian Regia Marina (Italian Navy of WW2) developed the use of combat divers. One of the most iconic vehicles was the Maiale ("pig" in Italian), whose name was "Siluro a Lenta Corsa" (slow speed torpedo). Three of these vehicles attacked the Royal Navy in Alexandria (Egypt) and 4 Britsh ships (2 battleships) were damaged.
